Ireland Chapter PMI has recently announced that it has hit the 1000th member mark –welcomed in the chapter by current President Colum Horgan.
A little known fact is that this chapter was originally set up as the Lambay Chapter back in the late 1990s, by a small group of young enthusiasts with its founding president Mr Terence O Donnell. As director of the CPM at the time, he started a longstanding relationship between the CPM and the local chapter which continues to this day. Indeed there are quite a few past graduates from the CPM including Brian Clare, Padhraic Ludden, Liam Dillon & Joan Murphy, all of whom stepped into the presidents role for a two year term.
Since those days the chapter has grown from strength to strength, being the fastest growing chapter in Europe and is now the largest professional organisation for Project Managers in Ireland It has an an active and broad outreach programme encompassing Industry, Not-For-Profit and Academic sectors.
The CPM wish the chapter continued success and look forward to collaborating with them on future events in the years ahead.
